About us
Dr. Chang brings extensive expertise in implantology and general dentistry to his practice. He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry and pursued specialized training in implantology at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Notably, he received guidance from Dr. Dennis Tarnow, a world-renowned authority in oral implantology, during his time at both NYU and Columbia.
Prior to establishing Castro Commons General Dentistry, Dr. Chang gained valuable experience as a credentialed implantologist in several Bay Area group practices, further refining his clinical proficiency in implant dentistry. He offers a full range of general dentistry services, including comprehensive implant solutions. Driven by the Concept of Complete Dentistry, Dr. Chang is dedicated to delivering optimal treatments for his patients.
Throughout his career, Dr. Chang also shared his knowledge as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Dentistry. His accomplishments include receiving a fellowship award from the Academy of General Dentistry and a 5-year Service Award from UCSF Medical Center. As a diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, he remains committed to continuous education and training in implantology, ensuring his approach to dental care is both theoretically sound and scientifically informed.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Chang enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his family.
