Dr. Teruaki Homma heads the Shin-Matsudo General Dental Clinic in Matsudo, Chiba, and is chairman of several dental clinics in Japan. He earned his DDS at Nippon Dental University in 2004, followed by a clinical residency there.
He then spent several years at New York University College of Dentistry: first in the Comprehensive Dentistry Program, then in the Advanced Program for International Dentists in Implant Dentistry, and finally as a Clinical Teaching Fellow in periodontics and implant dentistry. In 2024 he additionally completed an MBA at GLOBIS University.
He is an Ambassador and Diplomate of ICOI Japan, a director of the ICOI-certified study group F.I.S.T. and of ADIA Japan, and a clinical instructor recognised by the Japanese Ministry of Health. During the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games he served as chief dentist of the dental clinic in the athletes' village. He lectures regularly at international congresses, including the Japanese Society of Oral Implantology and ICOI world congresses.
