Board Member
Dr. Avi Shettrit is a periodontist practising at the North Broward Center for Laser Periodontics and Implants in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, earned his dental degree (DMD) at the Université de Montréal and, after two years in general practice, completed his residency in periodontology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), where he chairs the Table Clinic and Poster Presentations. He also serves as a senior reviewer on the editorial board of Implant Dentistry, the official ICOI journal.
His clinical focus lies in soft-tissue procedures, bone regeneration, laser therapy and the treatment of peri-implantitis. Through the Implant Educators Academy he teaches continuing education courses on soft-tissue management, sinus lifts, bone augmentation and complication management, and lectures nationally and internationally.
