DDS Alvaro Ordonez

Alvaro Ordonez, DDS runs his own practice in South Miami, Florida, and has more than 30 years of clinical experience. He earned his dental degree in Colombia and completed a fellowship at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston focusing on temporomandibular disorders, occlusion and orofacial pain.

Alongside implantology, bone and tissue regeneration, his work covers TMJ disorders, occlusion, orofacial pain, dental sleep medicine and sedation. He has taught as a clinical instructor at Tufts University, Nova Southeastern University and the University of Miami, and is a faculty member at the Pikos Institute in Tampa.

Within the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) he is a Fellow, Master and Diplomate and serves as Vice President for Latin America. He is also active on the Clinical Innovations Committee of the Academy of Osseointegration and sits on the editorial boards of Implant Dentistry and the Journal of Osteology and Biomaterials. He holds dental licences in Florida, Colombia and Barbados.
